This summer, as every summer for the past many years, somewhere at the end of July, the traditional race at Porto Karas’s marina for the North Aegean Trophy is going to take place. It is all about an offshore sailing race where crews from Greece and also from all around the world participate. It is a special event that gets organized by the Nautical Club of Thessaloniki, for which the club is genuinely very proud of.

Nevertheless, this year something particularly interesting is happening. A fact that even Resail couldn’t resist. To the fortune of the physical integrity of the fellow sailors and also to their great discomfort, there has recently been implemented an international rule regarding the safety onboard. Specifically, all crews are obliged to wear life vests at the entire duration of the races! As you can easily figure, there has been ferment among the crews and the skippers of the boats with the main theme of all discussions to be how to retrieve the most discreet and practical life vest in order not only to comply with the new regulation but also to enable the agility of the sailors onboard.
